Lucian Freud: In pictures
Lucian Freud, described by art critic Robert Hughes as "the greatest living realist painter", is the subject of a major retrospective exhibition, containing more than 150 works, at London's Tate Britain.

Works at the exhibition, which opens on Thursday, range from a recently completed self-portrait to works from the 1940s.
