Indie rock band The Jesus and Mary Chain are to reform for a US music festival, organisers have said.
The Scottish group built a reputation in the 1980s for drug influenced lyrics, music infused with electrical feedback and volatile gigs.
The band, whose line-up has not been confirmed, are due to appear at the three-day Coachella Music Festival, in California in April.
Thrash-rockers Rage Against the Machine will also reform for the event.
The Jesus and Mary Chain found success with their 1985 debut album Psychocandy at a time they were also making headlines for fights at their concerts.
After a tension-filled tour in 1998 - during which a member walked out - the band officially split the following year.
This is the eighth year of the Coachella Music Festival but the first time it has been held over three days.
