Ice Age extends box office reign

Ice Age 2 has taken a total of £26.25m in the UK
Animated sequel Ice Age 2 has kept Bruce Willis's new thriller 16 Blocks off the top of the UK box office chart.

Ice Age 2: The Meltdown has extended its reign as the most popular film in the UK and Ireland to a month.

It took £1.1m in ticket sales from Friday to Sunday, taking its running total to £26.25m.

In second, 16 Blocks took £780,000 over the weekend. Horror film Silent Hill is in third with Scary Movie 4 in fourth and Hugh Grant's American Dreamz fifth.
