Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards have amicably settled their divorce, lawyers for the Hollywood actors have said.

They were married for three years but Richards filed for divorce last year, and also took out a restraining order against the Platoon star.

She made claims of physical, verbal and drug abuse and compulsive gambling, allegations Sheen insisted were false.

He has been allowed to see their two children only one day each week, and must be supervised during the visits.

At other times, he must stay at least 275 metres from the actress and their daughters Sam and Lola, who are aged two and one.

Neither Lance Spiegel, a lawyer for Sheen, nor Neal Hersh, who represents Richards, would confirm if the order remained in place.

However, they did say that an evaluation due to be held next month regarding child custody had been cancelled, and there were no plans for future hearings.

Sheen is a star of TV sitcom Two and a Half Men, while film credits include Wall Street and Young Guns.
