More than 200 fare cheats fined
More than 200 people in the West Midlands have been fined for travelling without a ticket during July.

The figure of 212 is believed to be the highest since Central Trains started a crackdown on fare dodging in March.

Those caught have paid nearly £40,000 in fines and costs, have a court conviction against them and have been named and shamed in a poster campaign.

Central Trains has collected more than £120,000 in fines, costs and compensation since the crackdown began.
