Three young boys have appeared in court in connection with the death of a baby wallaby at a West Midlands tourist attraction.
The animal was attacked when a group of children managed to get into its enclosure at Dudley Zoo.
Two 11-year-old children were charged at Dudley Youth Court on Thursday with cruelty towards a family of wallabies on 21 April and 5 May.
A 10-year-old is accused of a single count of cruelty in April.
The five-month-old wallaby was found dead in its enclosure on 5 May.
The three defendants, who cannot be named for legal reasons, spoke only to confirm their names and addresses.
They were granted unconditional bail and are due to reappear in court later in the month.
Another boy, who was nine at the time of the attacks, was referred by police to Dudley's youth offending team.
