Football club quits stock market
Sunderland Football Club
The club was officially de-listed on 5 August
Sunderland football club have ceased trading on the stock exchange.

The company, Sunderland PLC, was de-listed on Thursday following an announcement from directors in July.

At the time, the company said there was little potential in the foreseeable future for raising further capital on the stock exchange.

The company remains a public limited company with shareholders but will no longer be listed on the stock exchange, according to a spokesperson.

Sunderland AFC were relegated from the Premiership in April 2003.
