Dozens of officers from Cleveland Police carried out raids throughout Middlesbrough as part on their on-going drive, Operation Sabre.

In the latest raid on three properties, heroin worth £25,000 was seized.

Two men aged 20 and 28, and a 17-year-old girl were arrested and bailed pending forensic examination of the drugs' haul.

Crime hot spots

A car, suspected of being used to carry out crime, was also seized.

Operation Sabre, which was launched earlier this year, has so far resulted in hundreds of arrests and tens of thousands of pounds worth of drugs and cash seized.

A spokesman for Cleveland Police said: "This was an intelligence-led operation which paid off.

"We want the public to know that there will be no let-up in the campaign against crime."
