The pier partly re-opened in July after repair work was carried out
|
Companies owning and operating Hastings Pier have denied breaching the Health and Safety at Work Act.
A judge at Hove Crown Court entered the pleas on behalf of Incorporated Ravenclaw Investments and Boss Management (UK) Ltd in their absence.
The companies face two charges. A trial date is expected to be set for the week commencing 29 October.
The pier partly re-opened in July after Stylus Sport, the owner of a bar, and Hastings Council funded repairs.
The council had closed the central section of the pier in the interests of public safety on 16 June 2006 under emergency powers.
