The skate park is part of the regeneration plans

Plans to revamp a "run-down" Staffordshire town have been announced by Cannock Chase Council.
A new health centre and skate park are to be built as part of a regeneration
scheme for Hednesford town centre.
The council has already sold the land, opposite Beehive Corner, to the health authority and work is expected to start soon.
Teenagers had called for a skate park to be built during a recent public consultation carried out by the authority and this will be built in Hednesford Park this summer.
Improve facilities
As part of the further regeneration plans, the council has identified four sites
in the town centre suitable for redevelopment.
Developers are now being sought to invest in the sites and create new facilities
or refurbish the existing ones.
Keith Nutter, from the council's planning consultants White Young Green, said
that plans for the health centre and skate park demonstrated that action was
being taken to improve facilities.
He said the council wanted to establish Hednesford as a "gateway to the Chase".
