Police are clamping down on youths letting off fireworks in the street
|
Extra police officers are being put on the beat across South Yorkshire in the run-up to bonfire night.
The extra patrols are part of Operation Mischief which aims to cut down anti-social behaviour from youngsters letting off fireworks in the streets.
The high visibility patrols come as the county's police urge local councils to use new powers to serve Anti-Social Behaviour Orders on trouble-makers.
Traders who sell fireworks to under-age youngsters will also be targeted.
