Four motorists were arrested and four others had their cars seized for no insurance in a police clampdown.
Officers carried out road safety checks with Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) in the Hadley area of Telford on Wednesday.
The CCTV camera technology reads number plates and a computer then flags up vehicles which are suspicious.
One man was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified, and three were held on suspicion of theft.
Four motorists had their vehicles seized for driving with no insurance and also received a £200 fixed penalty notice.
