New hospital will cost about £70m
Shropshire's new psychiatric hospital will cost nearly £70m, and be funded by a private finance initiative, it has been announced.

But a query remains over its final location, either on land in Shrewsbury or a site in Telford.

The cost is nearly £20m more than was orginially predicted.

It is thought Welsh health authorities could withdraw support if it is built in the east of the county, claiming it will be too far for patients to travel.
