Distraction thefts may be linked
Over £1,000 has been taken in two distraction burglaries in Telford which police say may be linked.

The first burglary happened at Web Crescent in Dawley at about 2.30pm on Thursday when a woman in her 80s was approached about her neighbour's fence.

A man in his late 20s took her outside to look, when she returned to the house she found over £700 had been taken.

The second incident in Priestland Terrace, Donnington took place an hour later where over £400 was stolen.

A man told the householder who is in her 80s that he was from the water board.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to contact them.
