Concerns over paragliding plan
Officials from the Environment Agency have raised concerns over plans to improve a Shropshire paragliding centre.

The scheme includes replacing the old farm buildings which are currently used as classrooms at the Melverley centre.

The site is in a flood-risk area, and the enviornment agency is concerned visitors could become trapped when water levels rise.

Councillors are due to discuss the scheme at a meeting on Tuesday.

Planning experts are backing the scheme saying it will be good for tourism.

They have suggested measures such as raising floor levels and banning overnight stays in winter to avert any potential problems.
