The rural police station will be manned by volunteers

A new police station has opened thanks to the dedication of a village community in Oxfordshire.
Volunteers will man the front desk of the station in Charlbury.
Three beat officers will be based in the station, which will be open for three part weekdays and during the morning on Saturdays.
Insp Nick Deacon said: "This is a great opportunity for the police to get closer to the public. The officers can be contacted via the volunteers."
Local coordinator Rosie White said: "This has been a long time coming and I am pleased that the new police office will now be open.
"I was very pleased at the response from local people to volunteer to help run the office."
