The closures will hit local people in Gedling, Mr Patel says

A postmaster who runs a post office earmarked for closure says the move is a blow to the local community.
Dozens of post offices in the East Midlands face closure as part of a move by the Post Office to save money.
Veejay Patel, a postmaster in Gedling near Nottingham, said: "It is a very sad thing as there is only one post office in the village."
More than 30 post offices are on the proposed list in Notts along with 35 in Derbyshire and 26 in Lincolnshire.
Mr Patel said the proposed closure of his location would cause problems for local people who would have to go elsewhere to draw their pension or post letters and parcels.
Fewer customers
The public has six weeks to respond to the proposals as part of a consultation process that begins on Tuesday.

Post Office Ltd's regional development manager Tony Jones said the firm accepted there would be opposition to the closures.
South Derbyshire MP Mark Todd said he would fight all three proposed closures in his constituency, at Church Gresley, Egginton and Newton Solney.
Public consultation on plans to close up to 2,500 post offices across the country will take place over the next year.
A spokesman for the Department of Business and Enterprise said decisions on which post offices will close will be made by Post Office Ltd in the light of the responses to the area consultations.
Four million fewer people are using their local post office each week compared to two years ago and Post Office losses rose from £2m a week in 2005 to £4m a week last year.
