Flood defences boosted by river
About £1.6m of improvement works are under way to try to prevent flooding in Nottingham.

The Environment Agency project will help to improve flood defences along the River Trent.

They will protect around 1,500 homes and a number of businesses in the Queen's Drive area.

Work is set to be completed early next year. It is part of a programme of flood defence improvements along the length of the River Trent.
