Bus service action is called off
A strike by bus drivers and engineers in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire has been called off.

The RMT union, which represents staff, said Stagecoach has come up with an improved pay deal.

Stagecoach has offered most drivers a rate of £7.50 per hour from April with skilled engineers to get a one-off rise of 9.2%.

The new pay offer is to be put to staff in a ballot with the action called off for the time being.

Services in Mansfield, Worksop and Chesterfield would have been affected.

Four one-day stoppages were planned from Friday onwards and were to be spread over two weeks.
