Special needs centre set to close
A special needs centre, which has only three pupils, could be facing closure.

Education officials say the site at Sycamore Infant School in St Ann's is outdated as most special needs pupils are sent to mainstream schools.

There are plans to shut the centre in September after a period of consultation with parents and teachers.

The resources used by the facility are expected to be ploughed back into improving resources for special needs pupils based in mainstream schools.
