Residents say local youths are causing trouble

The orders have been issued on problem tenants in the Lawrence Avenue area in Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire.

Some residents say some people are afraid to walk up the street because of violent neighbours.

Eleven people are facing court action as a result of Mansfield District Council's crackdown.

"I know some people who are still on anti-depressant tablets more than a year after living this street," said resident Tina Piddick, who has had a special intruder alarm installed in her house.

"My daughter has had threats that her caravan would be blown up," she said.

"If they got rid of a couple of the people in houses on this street it would be a lot quieter and people would have a lot less trouble," Mrs Piddick said.

"We just want a quiet life."
