Transport managers have announced plans to provide a link between Nottingham East Midlands Airport and Nottingham City Centre.
The new Airlink service, which will run as a five-year pilot, will mean travellers can get a bus between the two points every half an hour.
The seven-day a week service will also stop at Clifton, the Pegasus business park and the railway station.
The route is being launched to fill a current gap in public transport.
It is designed to make Nottingham a more attractive city to visit for overseas tourists.
A return ticket on the Airlink will cost about £7 but organisers promise substantial discounts for regular users.
The bus service has been funded by East Midlands Development Agency, Nottingham East Midlands Airport and Nottingham City Council.
