Sanctuary for disabled visitors
Attenborough Nature Reserve
The work will enable more people to enjoy the wildlife haven
A new bridge has been constructed at a haven for wildlife to improve access for disabled visitors.

Nottinghamshire County Council has been upgrading the Attenborough Nature Reserve with new paths and seating.

The £100,000 bridge was lifted into place between The Strand, and the River Trent on Saturday.

The project is part of a partnership between quarry operators RMC, Broxtowe Borough Council and Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust.

Steve Fisher of Broxtowe Borough Council said: "It's the last important link to improve the quality of footpaths around the reserve."
