Fans are angry that Bollywood films are no longer shown in Nottingham

There has been anger from devotees of the Indian films since the UGC group took over the cinema in Forman Street in the city centre.

The group stopped showing Bollywood films because they did not bring in enough money.

But now Asian film fans have hired a human rights lawyer and have given the group a two-week deadline before they begin a general boycott of the cinema.

Fans from Nottingham have to travel 30 miles to Leicester to see the films.

Barrister Usha Sood, who is representing a number of Bollywood fans, said: "We met with the executives of the UGC from London and they won't give a commitment to screening them in the near future.

"Our intention is to give them a deadline and if they don't re-screen very soon, then we plan a public boycott of the entire cinema."
