Up to 16,500 motoring offences were detected by police patrolling some of Northamptonshire's most dangerous roads over the past six years.
A total of 2,300 drivers were arrested on the so-called Red Routes, for offences including drink-driving, dangerous driving and speeding.
Police hope law enforcement and education will improve road safety.
A Red Route is designated when there have been four or more serious accidents on a road over three years.
The highest number of accidents took place on a stretch of the A43 between Kettering and Northampton.
The Red Routes system was introduced by the county's Casualty Reduction Partnership in June 2000.
