Students may be at risk of mumps
College students at risk of contracting mumps may have to be vaccinated.

Officials at University College Northampton (UCN) are considering whether to administer a mass vaccination programme.

There have been three confirmed cases and several suspected cases of the infection over the last week.

Mark Ferguson, from UCN said: "We're advising the student body to avoid close contact until we get a handle on the situation."

Mumps is largely spread through saliva.
