High-tech CT scanner for hospital
Brain scan
Hospital installs new CT scanner
A state-of-the-art CT scanner has been installed in the radiology department of Northampton General Hospital.

The high-tech scanner will allow faster and more detailed scanning of large sections of a patient's body.

A hospital spokesman said: "Getting patients diagnosed as quickly as possible is absolutely vital if they are to have the best chance of cure."

The scanner - one of the first in the UK - will be officially opened on Friday by Saints Rugby team players.
