Theatre boss quits for RSC role
The chief executive of York Theatre Royal has resigned to take up a post the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Ludo Keston's departure is a blow to the theatre, whose finances have stabilised under his leadership.

Since 2001, turnover has increased by 50%. Mr Keston also helped set up a youth theatre and opened a second auditorium dedicated to new writing.

The theatre is now looking for a successor to Mr Keston, who is leaving to become general manager at the RSC.
