Thieves have stolen three hawks from a falconry centre in North Yorkshire.
The Harris' hawks, worth a combined £1,300, were taken from a compound while crowds watched a flying display at the Sion Hill Hall Bird of Prey Centre, near Thirsk.
A police spokesman said three men were seen in a small white car driving away from the scene at around 1400 BST on Sunday.
Two of the birds were being cared for by staff at the centre while their owner was away on holiday.
Ian Ashton, managing director at the centre, said a reward was being offered for information leading to the return of the hawks.
He said: "Hopefully someone will be offered these birds and recognise them as the ones that were taken.
