A dog owner has been fined £400 with £500 costs after his rottweiler attacked another dog on open heathland.
Stephen Westrope, from Attleborough, Norfolk, pleaded guilty to being in charge of a dog that was dangerously out of control on Roudham Heath in May.
Swaffham Magistrates' Court heard how he was walking three rottweilers when one of them attacked and bit a lurcher dog several times.
The lurcher was left with puncture wounds in its leg and back.
Breckland District Council brought the prosecution and its lawyer said it now means the dog has to be muzzled while out.
