Sqn Ldr Jane Casebury
Sqn Ldr Casebury has served at various locations across the UK
Prince Charles has appointed a 36-year-old squadron leader to be his first female equerry.

The post, which is filled by a military officer, involves organising The Prince of Wales' public diary.

A qualified English teacher, Sqn Ldr Jane Casebury, from Prescot in Merseyside, joined the RAF 11 years ago as a training officer.

She takes over from Wing Cdr Richard Pattle, who leaves Clarence House after two years.

Sqn Ldr Casebury has served at various locations across the UK, including RAF Lossiemonth, RAF Benson and the Ministry of Defence in London.

She will also be responsible for the Duchess of Cornwall's diary.
