Phil Moffatt says he is 'delighted common sense has prevailed'

A council which ordered a patriotic shopkeeper to remove England flags from outside his business has backed down.
Liverpool City Council had threatened to charge Phil Moffatt £1,000 to remove the 20 flags from outside his Tuebrook shop, Churchill's Food Emporium.
It claimed the flags - to celebrate St George's Day - were dangerous because they could fall on cars or pedestrians.
Council leader Mike Storey visited Mr Moffatt and said he would help him keep them by ensuring they were secured.
Mr Moffatt had refused to take the flags down from the lampposts and said he would put more up if the council removed them.
He said on Wednesday: "I'm delighted common sense has prevailed."
