The fast ferry service from Liverpool to Dublin has been restored creating 110 jobs.
A new company has been formed to operate the route starting next month after it was dropped by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company last Autumn.
The first fast ferry link between the cities began in 1997 and operated two round trips a day.
But that was cut to one after European Union rules banned duty free sales, which saw a fall in day trippers.
The new company Irish Sea Express said it will operate two trips each day from 28 April using a former Manx Seacat renamed Sea Express 1.
