Ambulance workers' strike threat
Ambulance workers in Merseyside are threatening to strike over pay and changes to the way they work.

The Ambulance Service Union says its members are concerned about the new NHS pay structure as well as patient centred development.

Ambulance staff are also unhappy they were not consulted over new plans to use firefighters for emergency calls.

Mersey Regional Ambulance Service said it was dissapointed with the news but was committed to resolving the issue.
