'Above inflation' bus fare rise
Bus fares will have to increase at a rate higher than inflation in order to maintain current service levels, London's transport boss has said.

Bob Kiley told the BBC's Politics Show that the rises were "inevitable".

This contradicts Mayor Ken Livingstone's promise that increases will only rise in line with inflation.

Mr Kiley said: "Tax payers put a little bit in, fare payers put a little bit in and it's always a question of how we strike that balance."
