Black cabs in Square Mile protest
Black cab drivers are blocking a major artery into the City of London in protest at restrictions placed on them within the Square Mile.

Drivers are angry about being excluded from bus lanes and only being allowed to enter certain important roads.

The Licensed Taxi Driver' Association (LTDA) also claims illegal minicabs are moving into the City due to increased police pressure in the West End.

The black cabs began blockading Bank junction from 1400 BST.

Reports say the cabs are back to back and appear to be stopping other vehicles entering the area.

London Mayor Ken Livingstone sent a letter to the LTDA saying he was "particularly concerned" about touts turning to the City for business.
