The weak US dollar has pushed European cities up the ranking

London is now the sixth most expensive city in the world to live, according to a new survey.
Jumping from 10th place it is now joint sixth with Zurich in the study by the Economist Intelligence Unit.
The research said the continued weak US dollar and the strength of European currencies had helped push European cities up the cost of living ranking.
Japan is still the most expensive place in the world with Tokyo in first place followed by Osaka.
The survey is based on the cost of buying items including cars, CDs, cigarettes and cinema tickets.
