Councils in Lincolnshire have been given a £1.8m government grant to revamp run down homes.
District councils will use the money for improvements such as insulation, re-roofing and central heating repairs.
Officials at the East Midlands Regional Housing Board said they wanted to bring both council and privately owned homes up to a decent standard.
Lincoln won the largest grant of around £600,000 in the scheme which aims to improve communities by repairing homes.
