Museum makes way for new centre
The Lincoln Archaeology Centre is to close its doors this week.

The museum which has been open for 15 years will be replaced by the New City and County Museum.

More than 300,000 visitors have enjoyed the exhibits that tell the history of the city from the late Iron Age until the present day.

Managers at the museum say the hands-on exhibitions, some of which are moving to the new centre, have been what has made it such a success with visitors.
