Residents of a Lincolnshire town can get unwanted vehicles towed away for free during an abandoned car amnesty.
Boston Borough Council will remove the vehicles to stop them being dumped at lay-bys, roadsides, and car parks.
Last year the council spent more than £25,000 getting rid of about 200 abandoned vehicles, which it says can be dangerous as well eyesores.
The council will remove vehicles free of charge during the amnesty, but proof of ownership must be provided.
Councillor Richard Leggott said: "This 12-day amnesty is to encourage and help owners to get rid of vehicles that have reached the end of their useful life.
"The vehicles we have in mind are those parked in driveways and gardens which have become too expensive to repair.
