Cabbies press for bypass scheme
Taxi drivers in Boston are canvassing drivers in traffic jams as part of their campaign for a new bypass.

The cabbies believe congestion problems in the town is losing them business.

They say journeys of just a few miles sometimes take up to an hour and the taxi rank is left empty when cabs are caught up in tailbacks.

The drivers' action is part of efforts to get Lincolnshire County Council to include a bypass scheme in the new five-year transport plan.

The plan is due to be published next year.
