Volunteers are to spend five weeks restoring a neglected Lincs waterway.
The Grantham Canal Restoration Society is planning to clear more than a mile of the waterway of dense undergrowth.
About 200 people are expected to lend a hand in the society's Autumn Restoration Programme and work should be completed by the end of November.
Thirty volunteers, who will be staying at a village hall, are starting work on Saturday on removing tree stumps in the canal bed at Cropwell Bishop.
The society says their efforts will improve biodiversity along the canal corridor.
