People in Boston are being encouraged to give their views on the licensing of pubs and clubs in the town.
From next February, magistrates hand over the power of licensing, including opening times, to local authorities.
Boston Borough Council is putting together its draft policy and says it is consulting the police, the courts and local people.
But the council said it does not anticipate a sudden change in the night time culture in Boston.
The Head of Community Services at the Council, Andy Statham, said: "I don't think there will be a rush of premises wanting 24-hour opening.
