A village pub has been given a grant to build a grocery store on its premises.
The Three Horse Shoes Inn in Goulceby near Horncastle, Lincolnshire, has been given more than £3,400 for the project, which aims to revive remote villages.
At the moment the village has no shop and people living there have to travel a mile to get a pint of milk.
But now it should have a shop by the end of the year when the storeroom at the back of the pub is converted, costing a total of £8,000.
Karen Ferguson runs the pub, which also has a campsite attached to it.
She said: "I think the village could do with a store as there isn't one at all. It will also help the campsite."
The grant was given by the Pub and Community Project, which is run by the Community Council of Lincolnshire.
