Patrols stepped up around station

British Transport Police (BTP) in Leicester are stepping up patrols in and around the railway station to curb a spate of anti-social behaviour.

Officers said there had been an increase in people loitering, drinking alcohol, smoking and begging at the station over the past month.

In response, extra high-visibility and plain clothes patrols will be carried out by officers.

Police have also asked people to report any incidents and remain vigilant.
