The priory was founded in 1235

A ruined priory in Leicestershire is opening to visitors after a £500,000 restoration project.
The 13th Century Grace Dieu Priory near Loughborough will hold its first ecumenical service on Sunday.
The 10-year project at the priory was backed by the county council and English Heritage.
The site was previously on the English Heritage buildings at-risk register. Relics discovered at the site will be displayed in an exhibit.
The funding for the work was raised by several groups including the Heritage Lottery Fund, North West Leicestershire District Council, East Midlands Development Agency and Helen Cope Charitable Trust.
The priory dates back to 1235 when Rohese de Verdon founded the building for Augustinian canonesses.
