A city market could be given extra spice with the introduction of more diverse food stalls.
Managers at Leicester Market are inviting businesses which would like to offer ethnic foods cooked on site to approach them.
Recent surveys have shown that more than 90% of market users visit the amenity to buy food.
City bosses say the aim is to widen the foods available to reflect the city's cultural diversity.
Markets manager Nick Rhodes said: "The cultural mix in Leicester offers huge potential.
"We already have a number of traders who sell ethnic foods, and we want to expand this by introducing stalls which permit foods to be cooked and sold on site."
