Services for the homeless in Leicester have been boosted with the confirmation of nearly £400,000 of government money.
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) has allocated the funds to sustain reductions in homelessness and prevent further cases.
Existing projects include drop-in centres, education and basic skills training and counselling services.
Officials said the money would enable the council to continue working with vulnerable people.
Councillor Andy Metcalfe, cabinet lead for housing, said: "We are grateful to the ODPM for this award which recognises Leicester's continuing commitment to addressing homelessness.
"The £390,000 will be used to fund a wide range of projects and initiatives for people who are homeless, rough sleeping, vulnerably housed or at risk of homelessness."
