Teenagers recruited to tour clubs
A police force is recruiting teams of young teenagers to try to buy alcohol in pubs and clubs.

Leicestershire Police is looking for people aged between 15 and 16 to help them carry out under-age sales checks in venues.

Officers have warned that licensees and bar staff who serve the teenagers with alcohol will face prosecution.

The groups of youngsters will be taken to pubs and clubs on Friday and Saturday nights.

Pc Jon Webb said: "The volunteers are a very welcome addition to the services we provide the local community and I thank them for their time, commitment and enthusiasm.

"These volunteers perform a valuable service but we are always in need of more volunteers to ensure we have the best possible database from which to select people."
