Residents given choice on rubbish
A variety of rubbish bin options are being offered to residents in a part of Leicestershire after they objected to collections being halved.

Hundreds of people in Hinckley and Bosworth complained when their bin rounds changed from weekly to fortnightly collections.

Now the local council is offering a range of options to change the way they get rid of rubbish.

The council is investing an extra £50,000 in the new scheme.

People will be offered the chance to recycle cardboard and plastics on a monthly basis, to hire a larger wheelie bin, hire a second smaller wheelie bin, or buy supplementary plastic sacks for those high volume times of the year.
